To wrap up the summer exam period, we revived a wonderful institutional tradition: on Monday, June 22nd, numerous staff members from the Institute gathered for a dragon boating afternoon in Göd, at the Dunakaland Adventure Park.

 

Our more athletic colleagues kicked off the afternoon early, hopping on their bikes right outside the Institute for a scenic 30 km ride to the venue. Together with those who arrived later by train, we successfully filled two entire dragon boats.

 

Following a brief technical and safety briefing by the organizers, the action moved to the Danube, where a thrilling yet friendly race sparked between the two boats. The two-hour rowing session was made even more memorable by a refreshing swim in the river, games, and a relaxing break. We wrapped up this fantastic afternoon at the riverside Duna Csárda, cooling down with cold drinks and delicious food after a well-deserved workout.
