Analysis of Single Biomolecules – Principles and Practices - CEEPUS Intensive Course
2025. augusztus 28
The Department of Biophysics and Radiation Biology, Semmelweis University, organized the 2nd Intensive Course between 03-08 August 2025 of the CEEPUS RO-0010-19-2425 Teaching and Learning Bioanalysis network. The interactive programtitled Analysis of Single Biomolecules – Principles and Practices, built on the present research projects of the 14 Semmelweis and 3 foreign teachers. The number of interested students was 26, CEEPUS granted 19 B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. students, and 3 teachers from Czech, Polish, Romanian, and Slovakian universities. Thanks to the colleagues’ devotion and passionate teaching, who gave valuable experience to the young, inquiring students.
A student voice:
From August 3rd to August 8th, 2025, we participated in the Intensive CEEPUS Course hosted at Semmelweis University inBudapest. This course was centered on the theme Analysis of Single Biomolecules – Principles and Practices, aiming to deepen the understanding of advanced medical and bioanalytical techniques. The program included lectures, laboratory visits, hands-on experiments, and student interactions, all led by renowned experts in the field. I was introduced to techniques, including AFM, the use of the optical tweezers, techniques in the field of nanochemistry and others. This course provided a unique opportunity to explore the frontiers of bioanalysis and medical science in an international academic environment. It successfully combined high-level scientific content with real-world laboratory exposure. The knowledge, perspectives, and connections gained during this program will significantly contribute to my future academic and professional journey.
