Condition for signature: participation on at least 75 % of the practices and accepted lab reports. The lab reports should be uploaded to bifilab right after the measurement during the lab. Completion of the lab is only accepted with an uploaded lab report.
The condition for participation on the laboratory practices is that one has to pass the moodle test from the given topic before the practice. The test contains 10 questions and 50 % should be achieved. One can try the test no matter how many times until you pass.
REQUIREMENTS
Participation in the practical lessons is compulsory. No more than three absences from practices and not accepted lab reports are allowed for any reason, otherwise the semester will not be credited. The missed measurements should be done with another group during the 4 weeks cycle of laboratory practices. (One should ask for the agreement of the teacher of own group and the other group.)

Students must write a lab. report for each measurement in excel. The file to be filled can be downloaded from the homepage of the Department.
The students should prepare for the measurement by reading the related chapter of the laboratory manual.
All the measurements (even if it was cancelled for the given group for any reasons) can be asked during the semifinal or final exam.
Rules for lab reports :
1. Every lab report is considered as a written test, where three types of grades can be given: „Accepted” „Correction needed” or „Not accepted” .
2. The lab. report should be done by filling the excel sheet downloaded from the homepage of the department.
3. The processing of data can be accepted only if it is based on the data measured by the student.
4. Only the tasks listed in the homepage are required for a certain measurement. The lab report must be uploaded during the lab.
5. The teacher will show, what is the mistake or missing part in the lab report.

Midterm test

During the semester, in the 14th week (last week of the semester), at the beginning of the practice, we take a knowledge test. Of this questions for the weekly preparedness test questions, the calculation questions issued during the year tasks, as well as questions similar to the evaluation of the excel tasks during both semesters will be given. One for the latter dataset must be downloaded and analyzed. ATTENTION! An exam discount can be obtained based on the test result: those who score at least 75% are exempted from the written moodle test on the exam. The exemption will remain valid for the retake exam, too.
During the test formula collection and calculator can be used. - If one achieves favour it does not mean grade 5 for the exempted question and does not mean successful exam in any case just the exam will be simplified.
- The midterm test can not be repeated or taken later, it can be written only with the student’s own group during the practice.
Exams (ED)
The exam consists of written and oral parts. First, a Moodle test should be done. The Moodle test can be practiced with the exam dataset in Moodle system. According to the modification of Study and Examination Rules in March 2025, everybody can go to the oral exam. The examiner will know the result of moodle test and takes it into account in the final grade. During the oral exam, first 2 practical, then 2 theoretical questions will be drawn randomly from the topic list.

Our teaching program is evolving continuously. Focused on the general objective of meeting the requirements of the medical curriculum, the courses are also intended to provide specific medical biophysics training.
Todays students will be the physicians of the oncoming decades. In selecting and highlighting topics of study, the first viewpoint is scientific foresight: the knowledge should be conveyed which must be pertinent to ensure first-class professional competence while keeping abreast of the most recent development in the field of study. Our aim is not only the teaching of a specific body of knowledge but also the development of the exact scientific method and concrete problem-solving abilities.

Everybody should present an ID card at the exam. In the absence of ID card the exam cannot be started. We call your attention, that there is no possibility to increase the number of exam days or places during the exam period.

Students passing the test by 50% can take the oral exam. During the oral exam, first 2 practical, then 2 theoretical questions will be drawn randomly from the topic list.

Competition on Medical biophysics/Biophysics
will be held on May 5 (Monday) at 6:30 PM in the Issekutz (brown) lecture hall of NET building. Its duration is 2 hours.
Condition for participation: grade 4 or 5 in the semifinal exam.
It is a written test containing calculation problems and theoretical questions.
Exam favours independent of the total score:
Students getting at least 50% in the calculation part do not have to do the moodle test in the final exam.
Students getting at least 50% of the possible points also in the theoretical part, do not have to take the theoretical questions in the final exam. In this case only the practical questions remain.
Students getting over 50% only in the theoretical part cannot get any exemption.
Students ranking first, second and third places, if their scores are over 50% in both the calculation and theoretical parts, will get grade 5 in the final exam automatically.
If somebody achieves at least 50 % in both the calculation and theoretical parts of the competition, and achieves at least 75 % in the knowledge test in the 14th week of the semester, the favours are added up and the student will get full exemption from the final exam with grade 5.
During the competition, a calculator with max. 2 lines display can be used. The formula collection we will provide can only be used. In case of any problem during the competition, the teachers being present should be called.
